HATCHES
Been working on hatches and mechanisms (that meet deck grates). A bit to go, but more fun than hull oil-canning. Have used a combo of various PE and some scratch stuff.
RAILINGS
Started on the brass rails. Have torn several chunks out of hair. The pic below I took as "insurance" or just proof that I had some minor success. 5 mins later, attaching the other 2 main stanchions, I lost all three due to joint breakage. I superglued over the solder and may file them back, or break and clean and start again. I'm told using flux and heat sinks is key...we'll see if I can get this to work!
