Revell 1/72 Gato
The Gato has a long and rich history. Along with the improved versions (Balao and a few Tenchs), Gatos made a major contribution to winning the war in the Pacific; more than their share of the hard work.
With improvements and modifications, Gatos saw service in one form or another through to the 1970s.
Why do we like submarines? Stealth, hard work, dedication, coolness. The Gato was all that and more.
Nearing completion on my 1/72 VIIC U-boat, I am researching my build for SS214 Grouper.
